Visa Requirements
Tourist visa
Note:
- Acceptance of applications by VFS does not guarantee the issue of visa.
- Embassy reserves the right to decline a visa in case it deems appropriate to do so.
- Stipulation of duration and type of visa is at the discretion of the Embassy of India.
- Foreign nationals who have 6 months up to 10 years Tourist Visa with stay stipulation of 180 days/90 days with multiple entry facility, there should be a gap of 2 months between two visits to the country. However if any foreigner requires to visit Indian again within a period of 2 months of his last departure, he/she has to obtain special permission from the Head of Mission. To acquire the permission the applicant should furnish the undertaking mentioning the purpose of his/her visit and also that he/she is not engaged in Business activities, nor in Employment or pursuing studies/research etc.
To avoid delays when lodging the visa application should include the following:
- Visa application form should be filled legibly and clearly, in bold (capital) letters in black/blue ink only. Incomplete and illegible applications may not be processed. Name and other relevant particulars should be filled in as per details in the passport in expanded form.
- Additional application forms should be filled in by Nationals of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and applicants of Pakistan origin.
- Reference form completely filled with permanent address & signature. (For all Non Thai nationals staying in Thailand for less than 3 years)
- Correct visa fee.
- 2 recent passport size colour photographs with light background.
- The Passport should have a minimum validity of 6 months on the date of application with at least two blank pages. Tampered or damaged passports are not accepted.
- 2 sets of photocopies of the data page of the passport (passport page with photo/ extension of validity/ endorsement if applicable)
- Previous passport (if any)
- Any other supporting documents.

Business visa
Note:

- Business visa will only be issued to Thai nationals and to non Thai nationals holding a work permit in Thailand. Applicants who do not match these criteria may apply in their country of origin.
To avoid delays when lodging the visa application should include the following:
- Visa application form should be filled legibly and clearly, in bold (capital) letters in black/blue ink only. Incomplete and illegible applications may not be processed. Name and other relevant particulars should be filled in as per details in the passport in expanded form.

Employment visa
Note:

- Applicants may have to attend an Interview at 'The Embassy of India' post submission of application if deemed necessary by the Embassy.
- Employment Visa will only be issued to Thai Nationals and to Non Thai Nationals holding a work permit in Thailand for more than 2 years. Applicants who do not match these criteria may apply in their country of origin
To avoid delays when lodging the visa application should include the following:

- Employment contract letter from the Indian Company. This should specify salary, job profile, insurance coverage, airfare, etc. The employer should specify the total number of Indian and foreign staffs and certify that the recruitment of the foreign national is in compliance with the limits as prescribed by the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
- For honorary work with NGO, proof of employment with NGO registered in India.
- Letter of request from Indian company to Embassy of India, Bangkok.
- Proof of qualifications and expertise of the applicant.
- Certificate of incorporation/trade license or similar documents of the Indian Company.
- Any other supporting documents.

Transit visa

- Validity: 3 days each entry (first entry should be within 15 days from the visa issuance date.
